Withdrawal Policy
The Journal of Clinical Practice and Health Sciences (JCPHS) recognizes that authors may need to withdraw manuscripts at various stages of the publication process. To ensure fairness and maintain the integrity of the editorial workflow, the journal adheres to the following withdrawal policy:
Withdrawal Before Peer Review:
-
Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer review process begins without penalty.
-
A formal withdrawal request must be submitted in writing to the editorial office, stating the reason for withdrawal.
Withdrawal During or After Peer Review:
-
Withdrawal requests made after the manuscript has entered peer review require a clear and justified reason.
-
The editorial team will review the request and may require confirmation from all co-authors.
-
Frequent or unjustified withdrawals may affect the authors’ eligibility for future submissions.
Withdrawal After Acceptance or Publication:
-
Withdrawal after acceptance or publication is discouraged and only considered under exceptional circumstances such as ethical concerns, errors, or duplicate publication.
-
Requests must be supported by compelling evidence and agreement from all co-authors.
-
If withdrawal is approved post-publication, the journal will issue a formal retraction or removal notice to maintain the scholarly record.
Consequences of Withdrawal:
-
Withdrawal at any stage does not exempt authors from compliance with ethical standards and journal policies.
-
The journal reserves the right to report any misconduct associated with withdrawal requests to relevant institutions or bodies.
Procedure:
-
All withdrawal requests should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial contact.
-
Confirmation of withdrawal will be communicated promptly to the corresponding author.
By implementing this policy, JCPHS ensures transparency, accountability, and respect for the publication process while accommodating legitimate author needs.
