THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN RADIOLOGY: ENHANCING DIAGNOSTIC ACCURACY
Main Article Content
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the field of radiology by significantly enhancing diagnostic accuracy through advanced image analysis techniques. This study explores the integration of AI algorithms in radiological practices in Pakistan, focusing on their impact on diagnostic precision, workflow efficiency, and clinical decision-making. We present a comprehensive review of AI applications, including deep learning, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and computer-aided detection (CAD) systems in interpreting medical imaging. Additionally, this paper analyzes the challenges and opportunities in adopting AI in Pakistani radiology departments, supported by empirical data and graphical analysis. Our findings suggest that AI not only improves diagnostic accuracy but also reduces human error, accelerates reporting times, and offers promising avenues for resource-limited settings. This paper concludes with strategic recommendations for AI implementation tailored to Pakistan's healthcare infrastructure.
